What is Solid 5:14
Solid 5:14 is a ministry especially for the single adult population in and around Lancaster County. Single adults are often neglected as a demographic group by most churches. This is unfortunate; because many people become ‘disconnected' from a church family once they graduate from High School. Second Baptist Church wants to let singles everywhere know that there is a place for you and you are important! Hebrews 5:14 says, “But solid food is for the mature who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” That is our goal: to provide a place for people to grow into mature Christians. We have only a short time here on earth and most do not spend it doing things that really matter. Solid 5:14 wants to challenge single adults to be Godly men and women. We want for each one to seek God's face and find out what He really wants for our lives. It is only within His divine plan that we will prosper and find true meaning to our existence. Through Sunday School classes, a midweek worship service, social activities and mission events, we will grow together and discover what it means to be truly solid on the Rock of Jesus Christ. As we mature in Christ, our lives will have a greater impact on those around us and ultimately on the world.
